Cherokee School District Exceeds Projected Growth

The district's student population hit 39,644 on Friday, its 20th day of the 2013-14 school year.

Despite the slowdown in residential growth, the student population for the Cherokee County School District continues to exceed its expectations. 

On the 20th day of classes for the 2013-14 school year, the district had a student population of 39,644, 424 students higher than the district's 20th day for the 2012-13 school year.

Overall, the district has surpassed its projected enrollment of 39,350 by 294 students.
