"Hydrate Our Heroes" Family Fun Day & Blood Drive

August
traditionally sees temperatures soaring in Georgia, and American
troops stationed in Afghanistan endure temperatures in the upper 90s
to low 100s throughout August and September.

Cherokee
County firefighter Mike Murphy is currently stationed in Afghanistan,
and he and members of his platoon welcome the opportunity for hydration to keep them healthy and alert so they can better perform
the military operations associated with their work.

Since
its inception, Envision Health Studio in Woodstock has been dedicated to helping individuals and families get fit and stay healthy through
nutrition and exercise instruction, but also to promote a healthier
community through various service projects.

On
Saturday, August 24, Envision Health Studio will sponsor Operation Hydrate Our Heroes, to fund care packages that contain AdvoCare
Rehydrate products for soldiers in Mike Murphy's platoon, and
LifeSouth Community Blood Centers will be on-hand for individuals who
are able to donate a pint of blood.

Envision
will host a Family Fitness Scavenger Hunt beginning at 11 am. Contests, prizes and raffles will be offered throughout the event,
until 1 pm.

LifeSouth
will take blood donations from 9 am until 2 pm.

The
event features activities appropriate for all ages. Plan to bring
family and friends to Get Fit and Give Back!
