I understand your passion and anger. But lynch mobs went out a 100 years ago. You don't know any ofRead More the circumstances. If he was indeed negligent, we'll hear about it in the details. Until then, it's unfair to lay blame before knowing the facts.

No lynch mob here. Just fed up with K9 Officers being negligent with their partners. There is noRead More good reason and/or any other details that we need to know to know that he is guilty. It is an embarrassment to our community. We pay good money for these dogs and we entrust them into the care of their handlers. Officer Chad Berry has failed his community, and most importantly his partner. RIP Spartacus

I disagree until we hear details. The whole thing is sad though no doubt.

MelanieJ - so just below "Unqualified" you find Internal control over financial reporting:Read More Material weaknesses identified? YES Noncompliance material to financial statements noted? YES And then 6 detailed findings. Does this not merit some kind of explanation? plug your ears, cover you eyes, yell SQUIRREL, but whatever you do, don't look at the deficiencies in the audit or in the audit letter.
No More Bullies June 18, 2013 at 10:17 pm
Mr. Hart- what you, Ms. Marlow, Mr.Trim et al need to understand is that this particular audit firmRead More identifies weaknesses and noncompliance in almost every agency they audit, including Forsyth schools and Cobb schools. Every government entity's audit reports are available on the state department of audits' website. These minor issues are common and DO NOT amount to fraud or missing money. Both the state and the auditing firm have made this clear.

By the way, I want to be clear, my concerns are not of something criminal going on. My concerns areRead More for the poor quality of the financial reporting. Forsyth, Cobb, and even Paulding have much higher quality and more useful reports. I started looking at finances when the first furlough days were implemented. This was before Kelly Marlow ran for office. The audit is an opportunity to step up the quality of our financial reporting system and processes that is long overdue. You should also read the letter to the board that accompanies the audit. You will have to do an FOI as they will not post this public document to the open gov page.
