Chris Taylor a junior at River Ridge High School recently competed in the Georgia National Guard Half Marathon where he finished 1st in his age group of 15-19 year olds. He finished overall in 13th place. The proceeds from the event were donated to the the Wounded Warrior Project. The Half Marathon was ran over uneven terrain just like a Cross Country race but with the Half Marathon distance of 13.1 miles. Chris plans to seek an appointment to the US Naval Academy upon graduation as commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.
