Here is the information you need to know July 4.

1. Happy Fourth of July! There is a 40 percent chance of rain all day, according to the National Weather Service. The heat index values as high as 97 degrees, but the temperature high is 93. The evening calls for partly cloudy skies and a low of 70 degrees.

2. begin early to celebrate the Fourth of July. The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. with a festival following in the park that lasts till 3 p.m. The parade travels down Main Street and ends at Woodstock Elementary School on Rope Mill Road. The festival will have live music, kids activities, food, arts and crafts. are more details about the FreedomFest activities.

3. The fireworks will begin at dusk. They will be in the Highway 92 Target and Old Navy shopping Center. Here is a traffic exit plan provided by the city. Also, attached are all the road closures for the day, also provided by the city.

4. Remember, city offices and libraries will be closed in observance of the holiday.

5. If you missed the Tour de Main Friday afternoon, we've got for you. Cyclists of all ages gathered downtown to ride a two-mile route sponsored by Outspokin Bicycles and Greenprints Alliance.
