Chabad Offers Free Yom Kippur Service

Here is the information you need to know Friday, Oct. 7.

1. It's going to a lovely day to kick off the weekend. There will be nothing but sunny skies with a high of 80 degrees and a low of 51, according to the National Weather Service .

2. Downtown Woodstock's  kicks off at 6 p.m. This month's theme is Oktoberfest. Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch and GotoGrls will be hosting a QR Code Scavenger Hunt with the downtown businesses. Participants will get a prize for playing and a chance to win a grand prize complimentary of the participating businesses. Swing by, say hello and play along in the QR Code Hunt as you stroll through downtown at tonight's Oktoberfest.

3. The Bridal Exchange opened its doors Thursday. The owner duo will be celebrating a grand opening during Friday Night Live. 5. A  deputy was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Friday at his Canton home on charges of child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes. A third party filed a report with the  on Sept. 29 in reference to the sexual abuse. .
