Cherokee's Next Generation of Leaders Recognized

Cherokee's Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals to Watch were named during Thursday's Chamber of Commerce's Good Morning Cherokee breakfast.

The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce during its June Good Morning Cherokee breakfast recognized the 2013 group of Cherokee County's Top 10 In 10 Young Professionals to Watch. 

The initiative was "designed to cultivate and showcase exceptional Cherokee County young professionals," said Chamber President & CEO Pam Carnes.

The 2013 group includes:

  • Heath Tippens, Project Manager-Cherokee Office of Economic Development;
  • Barbara Jacoby, Director of Public Information, Communications & Partnerships-Cherokee County School District; 
  • Rand Bagwell, Pharmacist/Owner-Northside Pharmacy & Medical Supply;
  • Jake Osaer, General Manager-Cameron Hall Senior Living Community; 
  • Josh Bagby, Agent/Owner-Alfa Insurance-The Bagby Agency, Inc.; 
  • Michael Caldwell, Regional Sales Manager- Python Safety, Inc. & State Representative-House District 20; 
  • John Cline-Associate Judge & Chief Clerk-Probate Court of Cherokee County;
  • Jamie Pritchett, CPA, President/Owner/Principal-North GA CPA Services, PC;
  • Rebekah Shelnutt, Assistant District Attorney-Cherokee County District Attorney's Office, Captain-US Army Reserves and Judge Advocate General;
  • Cleve Hill, Managing Partner & Attorney- Bettis, Hill & Vann, LLC.

The program, in partnership with Enjoy! Cherokee magazine, is coordinated by the chamber and focuses on county residents under 40 who are deemed to be the county's up and coming leaders in the next 10 years. 

Judging criteria included past professional achievements and awards, five to ten year professional goals and volunteer and community activities.

Besides being recognized during the Chamber's monthly breakfast, the recipients are featured in the June Issue of enjoy! Cherokee Magazine and have been nominated for the prestigious 40 Under 40 by Georgia Trend magazine.
