City Hosts Blood Drive

Here is the information you need to know Wednesday, Oct. 13.

1. There is a slight chance of rain throughout the day with a high of 75 degrees and low of 59, according to the National Weather Service.

2. The City of Woodstock is  in the City Annex courtroom from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring a photo ID. If you have any questions, contact Tracie Barnes at 770-592-6000 ext. 1300.

3. An Indiana man was pulled over by Cherokee County authorities with numerous snakes and lizards in his car on I-75. The species included corn, coachwhip, pine, king, southern hognose and a rosy boa snakes. He was arrested and charged with illegal possession of non-game wildlife without a permit. 4. 's Collins Dixon will share his message with thousands of students during the Cherokee County Fellowship of Christian Athletes'  at 7 p.m. at Cherokee's Tommy Baker Field. Dixon is in stage 4 brain cancer. If you attend the Fields of Faith event, .

5. The Reinhardt University captains have been chosen for the 2011-12 school year. Captains are ambassadors for prospective students and their families who visit the campus. The students give campus tours and assist with Junior and Senior Preview Days throughout the year. Check here to see the who were selected as this year's captains.
