County Puts Alcohol Sales on Ballot with Conditions

Here is the information you need to know July 6.

1. The rain will continue today. There is a 60 percent chance of storms after 2 p.m. with a high of 89 degrees and low of 68.

2. The Cherokee on the November ballot pending the county school board's decision to put SPLOST on the same ballot. The commissioners also held the first of three public hearings on the millage rate increase. Check the live coverage .

3. Two suits filed against American Heritage Academy have been dismissed. In late May, Marietta attorney S. Lee Storesund told Patch that his clients would drop their cases if the private school returned their prepaid tuition funds. Read the full report .
