Lions Club Hosts Job Fair Today

The Woodstock Lions Club is hosting its first job fair at Chattahoochee Technical College from 1 to 5 p.m. Eleven companies, businesses and government organizations will be advertising positions and meeting with potential hires at the fair. Featured businesses include OfficeMax, Edward Jones Investments and Woodstock-based Vacuums, Etc. The businesses are looking to fill a variety of positions from entry-level retail jobs to management positions, according to The Cherokee Tribune.

5. A 47-year-old Acworth man tried to rob a woman Monday morning in the parking lot of the Canton Marketplace Target. The woman, whose name was not released, was loading her car around 10:52 a.m. when Daniel Edward Thomason approached her from behind. has more on the story.
