My neighbor owns GrassRoots Lawn Service. He is surrounded by seniors on three sides. Several years ago, noticing that I was struggling with pruning my crepe myrtles and that the man across the street was up on a ladder, trimming a tree, he began sending his crew to do our tree trimming for us, free of charge and expecting nothing in return. Silently, without a word, every spring the trees are trimmed and the refuse removed. What an astonishing and generous act of kindness to us "old folks".
