Bread Beckers Promotes Healthy Eating

Health conscious customers are flocking to the Bread Beckers for healthy cooking classes, top of the line kitchen equipment and a complete line of nutritious foods.

Nestled away in a warehouse in the Bell Industrial Park off of Highway 5, has become a Woodstock mainstay for residents who want to stock up on wholesome food ingredients or learn healthier eating habits from owners Sue and Brad Becker.

Bread Beckers began when an unassuming Sue began sharing testimony with friends about the health benefits of grinding  her own grain for her family's baking needs. Sue's passion for food science, biochemistry and nutrition inspired her to study how commercially milled white flour could be contributing to the sharp increases in obesity and diabetes in America.

Turning away from the overly processed food that sits on most store shelves, she made the conscious decision to prepare her family's bread with more wholesome, nutritious ingredients.

"Bread is the key," Sue said of her family's health. "It all starts here."

Word spread quickly when she began baking bread for family and friends.

"When something works, you're going to tell someone," Sue said regarding the beginnings of her company.

People began reporting back to her with miraculous transformations in their health, from increased energy and depleted sugar cravings to relief from constipation and dissipation of virus-based warts.

"The bread is real food that brings real, immediate, noticeable results."

Bread Beckers' Woodstock warehouse has now grown into a go-to spot for locally baked bread from the Real Bread Company, Sue and Brad's children's company, as well as other healthy food ingredients, cooking tools, beauty products and cooking classes, the latter of which recently attracted the attention of the Fox 5's Stacey Elgin. For the meager price of only $6, customers can sign up to learn everything from how to grind their own grain to preparing their own pasta and pizza dough.

But even beyond the confines of the warehouse, Sue and Brad said they believe so firmly in their cause that they've established co-ops which allow people across the country to order healthy food in bulk. They've also sold grain mills on six continents, as well as traveled America giving talks about the rich nutrients and extensive storability of grains.

"My passion is teaching the truth," Sue said of her business and life's calling.

The couple said they believe that improving their customers' overall well-being has always been a top priority at Bread Beckers.

"If you give the body everything it needs to heal itself," Brad said, "it usually does a good job."
