HearthSide Honors First Residents

The $15.3 million senior living rental community offers one and two-bedroom residences.

The NorSouth Development Company is honoring HearthSide Towne Lake’s first residents. The $15.3 million senior living rental community recently opened as the centerpiece of the Madison Pointe at Towne Lake mixed-use development.

HearthSide Towne Lake offers active, independent seniors an affordable lifestyle with unparalleled amenities in an extraordinary location at I-575 and Towne Lake Parkway in Cherokee County. The project was designed by Foley Design Associates Architects and built by NorSouth Constructs.

“The director of community development for the , Richard McLeod, has called HearthSide Towne Lake ‘the perfect development for this location’ and I think the robust pre-leasing and leasing activity has proven his point,” said Brendan Barr, vice president of development at NorSouth. “We are extremely gratified by the interest and enthusiasm the community has shown for HearthSide Towne Lake. The adjacent neighborhood of Towne Lake is Cherokee County’s largest residential community, and I imagine it is home to family members of many of our new residents."

Madison Pointe at Towne Lake, developed by Madison Retail, LLC, includes the new and a , along with neighborhood specialty retail and restaurants. 's Medical Office is immediately adjacent to the property. The development’s ideal location is just 2 miles from the redeveloped Downtown Woodstock. North Georgia’s mountains, lakes and rivers are just a short drive to the north, while the City of Atlanta is just a short drive to the south.

“HearthSide was designed and built exclusively for seniors,” Barr said. “At every stage of development, careful consideration was given to our residents’ security, comfort, convenience and enjoyment. In addition to the benefits presented by an exceptional location and a walkable, master-planned community, the residents of HearthSide Towne Lake enjoy a lifestyle full of social, recreational and educational opportunities. These seniors have the freedom to explore friendships and hobbies with others who share their same interests,” he said.

NorSouth is known for creating amenity-rich senior living communities throughout the greater Atlanta area. HearthSide Towne Lake is no exception, offering private gardens, a media room, fitness center, art studio, sunroom and bocce ball court. There are 100 one and two-bedroom residences feature open living design with entertainment bars, designer kitchens with pantries, Energy Star appliances and large walk-in closets. Ground floor residences feature direct entry from outside, and select units include balconies.

NorSouth is committed to green building and designed HearthSide Towne Lake to meet EarthCraft House Multifamily standards. Sustainable building practices include energy-efficient appliances, indoor air quality improvements, rainwater harvest system and LED outdoor lighting.

“We are excited to welcome and celebrate HearthSide Towne Lake’s new residents,” said Dave Dixon, managing partner with NorSouth. “Demographic research clearly shows a strong need for affordable homes for independent seniors, which will only increase in the future.  Many seniors prefer to live near their children and grandchildren, which is why we are building in established residential neighborhoods.  Because people are now living many years beyond retirement, a number of seniors will find themselves in the ‘moderate income’ category, which is the population we serve with our apartment communities.”

Leasing information can be found on the property website or by calling (770) 852-2225.
