Cherokee Post Office to Cut Hours
After nationwide public opposition, the nearly bankrupt U.S. Postal Service backed off plans to shutter thousands of the country's rural post offices.
Under a new strategy that the U.S. Postal Service unveiled on Wednesday, the Nelson Post Office in rural Cherokee will remain open, but reduce its operating hours from eight to four hours.
