Eagle Watch Man Dies in Driveway

It appears that the man fell into a kiddie pool and drowned after coming home during the night.

The is investigating the drowning of a middle-aged man in a child's pool overnight in the Towne Lake area.

Emergency crews were called about 11 a.m. today to attend to a 54-year-old man who was unresponsive in the Eagle Watch subdivision, said Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Cherokee Sheriff's Office.

(Update: The Sheriff's Office has identified the dead man as Dominic Saverino Pedante, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.)

It appeared as if the man, who lived in the 3200 block of Eagle Watch Drive, had come home during the night, gotten out of his vehicle and fallen, Baker said.

The man landed in the kiddie pool where he was found. An autopsy is planned for Monday to determine the exact cause of death, Baker said.
