Moe's Takeout for Gunmen: $1,000

Two robbers swipe cash from the Woodstock eatery just before 10 p.m. Wednesday.

A employee was held at gunpoint as other employees lay face-down on the ground and $1,000 was stolen Wednesday night.

Woodstock police investigators are searching for suspects involved in the armed robbery, in which no one was injured, at the Highway 92 Moe’s.

Police officers arrived at approximately 9:50 p.m. and spoke with five of the employees involved in the incident, said Brittany Duncan, spokeswoman for the . They said one woman was taking the trash out when she was approached by two white men who are appeared to be between the ages of 18 and 21.

“The female employee was held at gunpoint and forced back into the restaurant,” Duncan said. “The two males demanded that all of the employees lay down on the ground and demanded the manager to remove money from the safe. The two men then fled out of the back door in an unknown direction.”

One man was wearing all black with a ski mask covering his face and was armed with a stainless-steel or chrome revolver. The second man was wearing a plaid, hooded jacket with sunglasses and was armed with a black semiautomatic handgun, Duncan said.

A witness told police she saw a dark Jeep Cherokee flee the scene at high speed around the time of the armed robbery.
