A Celebration Fit for a King

A diverse crowd of more than 600 attended the 14th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast on Saturday.

Though today is the day that the nation pauses to remember Martin Luther King Jr., Cherokee County kicked off its celebration on Saturday.

More than 600 people attended the  at the  in Canton, event chair Sherri Monger told Canton-Sixes Patch.

Keynote speakers included Mark Hayes, co-host of Fox 5's Good Day Atlanta, and Don Perry, vice president of public relations for Chick-fil-A. The emcee was Ebony Steele of the nationally syndicated Rickey Smiley Morning Show.
