8:20 p.m. Casdia said he was at the Copper Coin at 6:32 a.m., was their second customer and enjoyed the coffee. "They are on to something."

8:18 p.m. The first reading of the city budget is approved.
8:15 p.m. The council travel budget is asked to be cut from the first reading of the city budget.
8:13 p.m. "I think we have turned a corner. I think our future is very bright," Henriques said.
8:13 p.m. "I think it has taken about three years to fix the issues with the General Fund and Water Fund. We haven't had to hit the Reserves this year," Moon said.

8 p.m. Wink Woodstock, a wine, nosh, dessert and martini bar to open in July, receives its on-premise consumption alcohol license.
7:58 p.m. The liquor license for Firestone Wood Fire Pizza & Grill is approved. It will open in July. They have another location in Dothan, AL.
7:55 p.m. The second reading of the Sunday alcohol sales is approved. The issue will be on the November ballot.
7:51 p.m. "It’s an accident waiting to happen, and I don’t want to be on the news," Henriques said.
7:50 p.m. Henriques said the permit process should include safety instructions for the parents helping their children fundraise.
7:49 p.m. Henriques said the city should go a step further since they do not have a permit for the police officers to lean on.
7:49 p.m. ...encourage those on the highways to use caution and tell them it is illegal in the appropriate areas.
