Rail, Highway 20 Dominate Town Hall Meeting

Officials said improvements to Highway 20 would create a viable east-west connector and relieve congestion on the county's interstate system in Tuesday's telephone town hall meeting.

Members of the Atlanta Regional Transportation Roundtable held the second in a series of telephone town-hall meetings to get feedback about local transportation needs.

And on Tuesday, the focus shifted to Cherokee County.

Approximately 54,000 Cherokee residents were randomly selected to receive a call, hosted by chairman Buzz Ahrens and Mayor Tim Downing.
