PURE Night of Networking

It was difficult to leave this evening–I could spend hours talking to local business entrepreneurs about the who, what, when, why and how of their businesses.

Tonight was like Candyland. I have an obsessive admiration for the local entrepreneur–and tonight at PURE’s Night of Networking I met a number of small business owners reaching out to spread their business messages.

I get so inspired by individuals that create businesses and take them into the marketplace to help others.

PURE's Night of Networking is sponsored by All About Towne, a charter member of (BNI) Business Networkers International. Their pitch is, "If you are a business owner that wants to go from good to great and separate yourself from your competitor join us!"

These are the people that make this community great.

Tonight I met Judy, with Indulgence. She specializes in lingerie…bachelorette parties, girls nights out, divorce celebrations (OMG!).

I also met Elaine Reed—with Interactive Marketing---she seems like who you want to know if you want to set up an adwords or pay-per-click campaign for your business. She is an expert in Internet Marketing for small businesses. I really really liked her.

Tammy owns Holdheide Academy–a specialized local preschool for parents looking for options for their exceptionally bright child. Tammy was funny. Half a PURE margarita and she was ready to call it a night.

Karla White was there, with Trotter Roofing. Neal Sulmeyer with Humecon-he offers humidity control for refrigerated systems. Ivan Jones is the Managing Parnter of Consulthink–I spoke with him at length and he was so passionate about helping small businesses merge into more.

I picked up a new client tonight–yay. Mr. John T. Gunn of The Gunn Firm in Marietta–he practices family law, bankruptcy, divorce etc.. seems like a great honest guy if you’re looking for that kind of service.  Maybe he should hook up with Judy on one of her divorce lingerie parties?

Mr. Ken O’Leary is the Wealth Management Advisor of Woodstock Financial Group–he indicated he was previously working for another financial group but they wouldn’t let him implement and promote Dave Ramsey prinicples (of which I am a fan!) so he branched out on his own.

Finally, I had a brief conversation with Valorie Taylor of the Pampered Chef—I told her I wouldn’t be a great prospect for her as far as hosting parties but I would definitely buy her products. I love Pampered Chef products—my sister had an olive oil spray device from PC that I definitely want to buy.

It was difficult to leave this evening–I could spend hours talking to local business entrepreneurs about the who, what, when, why and how of their businesses. Local business owners impress me with their courage, their risk-taking. How American is that.
