Prepare for Cherokee Pre-K Registration

Registration for the Pre-K program opens April 30 through May 11. Parents will be notified May 17 when names are drawn for the 2012-13 school rosters.

Children 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2012, are eligible to participate in one of the following program sites: Ball Ground Elementary School, , , , R.M. Moore Elementary School, and .

Each class will hold 22 students at every program site with the exception of Little River, which will accommodate two classes, according to the school district's website.

Students living outside the attendance zone for the participating school will be eligible for any unfilled slots only after those registrations within the zone have been accommodated.

Registration will be open from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The necessary documents are attached or they can be found here.

There are also lottery-funded Pre-K programs in Cherokee County. To find a program closest to you, search the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning website.
