Plant a Tree for Arbor Day

Pick a free seedling from various locations around Woodstock this Friday.

Woodstock is celebrating Arbor Day by giving away 750 seedlings to residents and planting trees in dedication of city employees.

City Clerk Rhonda Pezzello, Fire Marshall and Assistant Fire Chief Jimmy Eley and Lt. Tim Smith of the Woodstock Fire Department will be recognized for their 20 years of service to the city by having three trees planted in the spring in their honor.

Dogwood, Crape Myrtle, Red Maple and Southern Magnolia seedlings will be available on a first come, first serve basis at the City Hall Annex, Magnolia Hall, William G. Long Senior Center and the Deans Store this Friday.
