To expand its inventory storage capacity, Hennessy in 2010 purchased three residential lots that sat directly behind its facility.

The company in 2010 requested the city annex and rezone those three parcels to general commercial so they could use the land for the aforementioned purposes. However, neighbors fought the plan and filed suit to stop the company from moving forward with its intentions.

The company said they pursued the residential lot purposes to meet minimum parking requirement standards set forth by American Honda. With this new request, it's unclear whether Hennessy Honda will use the three residential lots.

The Woodstock Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of Hennessy's request.

The council will also consider approving purchasing traffic lights for Ridgewalk Parkway from North Cherokee Electrical Contractors for $215,308.

Fifty-percent of the costs will be paid for by Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta developer Horizon Group Properties. The city's share will come out of Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax revenue.
