Woodstock To Host Wing & Rock Fest

The 8th annual 97.1 The River Wing & Rock Fest kicks off Friday in downtown Woodstock.

The 8th annual 97.1 The River Wing & Rock Fest will return to downtown Woodstock on Friday and will give residents the chance to enjoy food, music and entertainment all weekend.

The festival, organized by USA Entertainment, Inc., will start with a kick-off concert from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday May 31 at the Park at City Center.

The food and music fest will continue at the park from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday June 1 and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday June 2.

The festival, which is free to attend, will feature food, music, arts & crafts and a kids zone. Over 20 music acts are slated to perform and the famous WingZone wing eating contest will start at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Nearly 20,000 people are expected to flock to Woodstock for the event. Alcohol will be served on two designated areas on the lower level at the park.
