Election Day in Woodstock: What You Need to Know

Here's what you need to know with what's happening today in Woodstock and Towne Lake.

Today is Election Day in Woodstock and Towne Lake!

That means you will have 12 hours to cast your ballot in the city's municipal election as well as the special election to fill the Georgia Senate District 14 seat.

Here's the rundown of what you need to know today as you head to the polls:

1. What time can I vote? Polls are open today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

2. Where do I vote? Visit the Georgia Secretary of State's My Voter Page to find your polling place.

3. When will we know who won? Unofficial election returns are available after the polls close at 7 p.m. The Cherokee County Elections and Voter Registration office often updates the numbers on their website as the numbers come into their office. Keep an eye on Woodstock-Towne Lake Patch for updates on local races.

4. I'm disabled and might need some help voting. What should I do? All polling places are wheelchair accessible. The Georgia Secretary of State's Elections website has detailed information on how voters with disabilities can access their polling places and cast their ballots.

5. Who is on the ballot? In the Woodstock municipal election, these are the names you will see on the ballot:

Donnie Henriques (incumbent)

Ward 1

Warren Johnson
John Szczesniak

Ward 3

Judith A. "Judy" Davila
Robert W. Mueller (incumbent)
