Woodstock League 'Mixer' Promotes Community Service

The Junior Service League of Woodstock will hold an open house tonight for new and prospective members to learn more about its organization.

The league's New Member Mixer will start 7:30 p.m. tonight at Leaning Ladder Premium Olive Oils and Vinegars, located at 105 East Main Street in downtown Woodstock.

The league is a nonprofit organization made up of women dedicated to volunteerism and giving back in various ways in the community. The mixer will give residents the opportunity to learn more about the organization, some of the events it sponsors, how it touches the lives of the less fortunate and the chance for residents to form "friendships along the way."
