Cherokee Business Owner Wins Fantasy 5 Drawing

A Cherokee County business owner is $261,766 richer. 

David Lawson of Daniel and Lawson Pest Control in Ball Ground, was one of two winners who matched all five numbers in the April 13 Fantasy 5 drawing. 

Winning numbers from the April 13 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 20-27-30-33-34.

Faz Corner in Marble Hill sold the winning Quik Pik ticket. The other winning ticket was sold in McCaysville. 

"I found out the next day," Lawson said. "I’m tickled to death, and it couldn’t have come at a better time."

Since its inception, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned more than $13.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education.

All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.

More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
