Get Out: What's Going On Around Cherokee This Weekend

The weather will be unseasonably warm this weekend and Patch has you covered on what's going on this weekend. Check out these events below:

  • Donovan's Irish Cobbler will be celebrating its third anniversary with its first Move for Hunger food drive Saturday at 11 a.m. For every two items donated, customers will receive $1 in Donovan's Dollars that can be used towards any food or drink purchase between Jan. 13 and Feb. 28. See the attached flier or call the restaurant at (770) 693-8763.
  • Lyndon Academy will present Treasure Island Saturday at 7 p.m. at Elm Street Arts in downtown Woodstock. The performance, which is free, is a family-friendly production set in the mid-18th century.
  • Elm Street Arts on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. will host trumpeter and vocalist Joe Gransden and his 17 piece orchestra featuring vocalist Taryn Chidebelu-Eze. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Doors open at 2 p.m. with general admission and seating. Call (678) 494-4251 or visit www.elmstreetarts.org to purchase tickets.
