News Near Woodstock: Ball Ground Historical Society Installs New Officers

Several new faces will lead the Ball Ground Historical Society

The organization on Tuesday installed officers and board of directors during its regular meeting at Ball Ground City Hall.

New officers include: Beth Ingram, president; Tim Cavender, vice president; Karen Jordan, recording secretary; Sandra Pendley, corresponding secretary; and Elaine Gay, treasurer.

Elected to serve on the board of directors were Dr. Rebecca Ray, Joe Kitchens and Mary Sue Haynes Malone. 

The society was formally chartered on June 26, 2012, to "honor, protect, and encourage the preservation of Ball Ground’s history and heritage," according to its press release.

The organization meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at Ball Ground City Hall's council chambers, located at 215 Valley Street, Ball Ground, GA 30107. 

Membership dues are $25 for individual and $35 or household or two memberships.
