Woodstock Teacher is Finalist For Country Artist of the Year

Mill Creek Middle School teacher Thomas Fountain is one of six finalists who are in the running to be named Georgia-Country.com's male country artist of the year.

Mill Creek Middle School teacher and musician Thomas Fountain is one of six finalists vying to be named Georgia's male country artist of the year.

Voting ends at noon Saturday Oct. 12 and winners will be announced at the awards show at 120 Tavern & Music Hall in Marietta on Nov. 9. Residents can cast ballots on Georgia-Country's website's website. 

Fountain, who teaches physical education at Mill Creek, is in the running with five other male artists: Nick Alligood, Matt Pippin, Brandon Holden, Scott Brantley & Jeremiah Wheeler. 

Fountain regularly performs at Downtown Kitchen in Canton and JUMP Kitchen in Woodstock.
