Barrel and Barley Grand Opening Delayed

The grand opening has been pushed back to Wednesday July 3.

The opening of Woodstock's first craft beer market has been pushed back. 

Barrel and Barley Craft Beer Market will open Wednesday July 3, according to an email blast it sent out Wednesday morning.

Owner Zach Yurchuck said the company's construction on the new location is coming along smoothly, but they won't be finished in time to open by Friday, its original opening date.

"We know you're growing thirsty, and so are we," he added. "We are excited to share our passion, and we only hope that our grand opening lives up to your expectations." 

Barrel and Barley will be located at 9010 Main Street in downtown Woodstock.

The company was recently granted an alcohol license by the Woodstock City Council.

The craft beer market is currently renovating the location to suit its needs.

Barrel and Barley will bring a large selection of beers from around the world to the area and will feature Georgia-based breweries as well, such as Reformation Brewery, Terrapin and Wild Heaven Craft Beers

They will also plan to sell growlers, which will be sealed before the customer leaves the store. 

The company has also released its list of beers that will be on tap once it opens next week. 

The list, which is subject to change, includes Left Hand Polestar Pilsner, Red Hare Long Day Lager, Konig Ludwig, Terrapin Peach Farmhouse, Dogfish Head Festina Peche, Woodchuck Belgian White Cider, Wild Heaven Let There Be Light, Terrapin Rye Pale Ale, Palm Belgian Ale, Bell's Two Hearted, Sweetwater IPA, Monday Night All Day IPA, Smuttynose "Finest Kind" IPA, Wild Heaven Invocation, Wrecking Bar Nathan's 13 Minute Amber, Oskar Blues G'Knight, Red Hare Watership Brown, Founder's Porter, Jailhouse Breakout Stout and New Holland Dragon's Milk.
