To enter the contest, shoppers can bring a receipt from any purchase made on both days to the visitor's center on Friday or Saturday. As an example, if a shopper spends $50, that person will be entered five times into the drawing.

The visitor's center will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the contest and only purchases made at stores or restaurants in downtown Woodstock are eligible to be entered. The contest ends at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Woodstock's contest coincides with Small Business Saturday, which is on Nov. 24. The initiative, spearheaded by American Express, encourages shoppers to patronize and support small businesses in their communities.

If the contest doesn't appeal to you, you can also purchase Downtown Dollars gift certificates at the visitor's center. The certificates are now accepted at 35 different businesses in the downtown area.

For more information on the contest or on how to purchase a gift certificate, call the visitor's center at (770) 924-0406.
