Thursday Morning Fire Damages Woodstock Home

The residents of the home were not home when the blaze started and no one was injured in the fire.

No injuries were sustained in a fire that occurred in southeast Cherokee County Thursday morning. 

Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services and the Woodstock Fire Department responded to the call shortly before 10:30 a.m. of a fire at a home at 108 Eubanks Court in Woodstock. 

Cherokee County dispatchers received one call from a neighbor who said they saw white smoke coming from the two-story home while a second caller noted they saw smoke coming from the roof of the home.

By the time the first engine arrived on the scene, flames were visible from the structure. 

Flames were coming from the back corner of the home, Cherokee County Fire Fighter Eric Robidou said in a press release.

Robidou also noted there was plenty of fire, smoke and water damage inside the residence.

The residents of the home were not home at the time of the fire and no other injuries were reported from the blaze.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
