Early Voting For Runoff Starts Monday

Voters in the Senate District 14 are set to vote in the Dec. 3 runoff.

Voters in Georgia Senate District 14 will have to once again head to the polls in two weeks to vote in the Dec. 3 runoff for the special election.  

Early voting starts on Monday for the runoff, which will fill the Senate seat vacated by Barry Loudermilk of Cassville

Voting will take place at the Cherokee County Elections Office at 400 East Main Street in downtown Canton. 

Voters can cast ballots between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday Nov. 18; between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 19 through Friday Nov. 22; and between 8:30 and 5 p.m. Monday Nov. 25 through Wednesday Nov. 27. 

Voting will not take place on Thursday Nov. 28, Friday Nov. 29 or Monday Dec. 2. Polls in the Senate district will open between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 3 for the runoff. 

Voters in the Senate district, which includes most of Cherokee County west of Interstate 575, will choose between Republicans Matt Laughridge and Bruce Thompson, who were the top two finishers in the election
