Former River Ridge Student Drowns In North Carolina Lake
Vince Njoku, 19, of Woodstock died Monday afternoon while swimming with friends in a lake at Geitner-Rotary Park in Hickory, North Carolina.
A River Ridge High School graduate died Monday afternoon while swimming in a North Carolina Lake.
Vince Njoku, 19, of Woodstock apparently drowned in the lake while swimming with friends at Geitner-Rotary Park in Hickory, North Carolina, according to the Hickory Daily Record. His body was pulled from about 13 feet of water, the newspaper reported.
Njoku was a freshman student at Lenoir-Rhyne University where he was a running back on the school's football team. Njoku graduated from River Ridge High School in 2013.
