Police: Target Bomb Threat Investigation Continues

The Woodstock Police Department continues to follow up on leads in last week's bomb threat called into Super Target.

The Woodstock Police Department continues to investigate a bomb threat called into a big box store last week.

The agency is still following up on leads of a case involving a bomb threat that called into Super Target at 140 Woodstock Square Avenue, said Spokeswoman Brittany Duncan.

The agency said the call came into the store around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 10. Store management decided to move forward with the evacuation, Duncan added.

K-9s from both Woodstock and the Cherokee Sheriff's Office were used to perform a sweep of the store, but no bomb was found. The store was reopened at around 9 p.m. that same evening.

The spokeswoman also said the agency has been able to trace the number they believe the call came from, and they "will continue to follow up on leads" to solve the case.
