Purses Taken From Cars Outside Daycares in Towne Lake

The suspect allegedly took one purse from a vehicle parked outside KinderCare and another purse from a car parked outside The Goddard School.

Two purses were taken from cars parked outside two daycares in Towne Lake early Wednesday morning. 

Around 8 a.m., a man allegedly smashed the window of a car sitting outside KinderCare at 3015 Parkbrooke Circle while a woman went inside the facility to drop her child off, according to the Cherokee Sheriff's Office. 

The suspect then got into a gray Kia Optima and another accomplish drove him next door to The Goddard School at 3115 Parkbrooke Circle.

The suspect then opened an unlocked vehicle outside the facility and stole a second purse from the car. 

The suspect allegedly committed the crime while a woman went inside to drop her child off at the daycare.

"Citizens are urged to lock their doors and remove or secure valuables in their vehicle when escorting children into a daycare," said Sheriff's Office Spokesman Lt. Jay Baker.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male and anyone with information is asked to call detectives at (770) 928-0239.
