Reward Offered in Play N Tarde Armed Robbery

The Woodstock Police Department has released descriptions of three men they believe were involved in Sunday's armed robbery of Play N Trade.

The Woodstock Police Department is asking the public to help them locate three men they believe were involved in the armed robbery of Play N Trade on Sunday.

Woodstock police and fire investigators say at least three men were involved and fled the scene in a late model blue Chevrolet SUV.

The suspects are described as:

  • A white male, between 40 and 50 years old, with a medium-large build with a full beard.
  • A white male, between 16 and 22 years old, with a medium build and brown hair.
  • A white male whose description is unknown.  

At around 11:40 a.m. Sunday, both Woodstock Police and Fire Departments responded to an armed robbery and fire at Play-N-Trade, located at 2990 Eagle Drive Suite 110. 

Once units arrived onto the scene, they met with employees of the store who said a man, armed with a gun, entered the business, and held employees in the back of the store.

The employees were released a short time later and "were told to run from the store," Woodstock police spokesperson Brittany Duncan said. 

Shortly after they exited the store, a started inside the business. That fire resulted in manager Troy Brazelton receiving second and third-degree burns

Brazelton is hospitalized at Grady Health's Burn Center in stable condition. 

An undisclosed amount of money and merchandise were also taken from the business, Duncan added. 

Duncan said Woodstock investigators believe those involved are local and may still be in the area.

The Georgia Arson HOTLINE is offering an award of up to $10,000 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
