Ahrens To Give Cherokee Economic Development Update

Cherokee County Chairman Buzz Ahrens will address the Council For Quality Growth on Wednesday on the state of economic development in the county.

An update on economic development in Cherokee County will be on the agenda for Cherokee County Chairman Buzz Ahrens to address in his State of the County address on Wednesday.

Organized by the Council For Quality Growth, the address will start at 11:30 a.m. at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Conference Center in Canton. 

The event is $20 for Council members and $25 for non-members. Tickets can be purchased on the council's website

The organization is a not-for-profit group that includes a diverse set of members, ranging from bankers to planners, who have an interest in growth and development. 

"The Council works to ensure continued growth and economic success for generations to come by providing advocacy, information and education to its members," according to its website. "Committed to the mission of promoting balanced and responsible growth, the Council is proactively involved in the formulation of policy and legislation critical to the growth and development industry."
