Woodstock LCI Plan Meeting Set For Tonight

The meeting is the latest in an effort to get feedback from the Woodstock community on its 10-year update to its Livable Centers Initiative plan.

The latest installment in a series of meetings to get feedback on the Woodstock's Town Center Master Plan will be held tonight. 

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Chambers at City Center at 8534 Main Street.

The plan will provide city leaders with housing, transportaiton and economic development guidance for the next 25 years. It also encourage a contemporary and innovative roadmap for the city and its partners based on market realities and demographic trends.

The Town Center area is bordered by Highway 92 to the south, I-575 to the west, Dobbs Road and the utility corridor to the east, and on the north by Haney Road and Woodstock Elementary School.

The team from Pond & Company’s Studio for Better Communities, which includes retail consultant Gibbs Planning Group, is working with the city to conduct analyses of the retail mix and parking in the area to analyze current and future demand, as well as what type of parking is needed and where.
