Brewery Eyeing Move To Woodstock, Wants Boundary Change
Reformation Brewery, which is looking to possibly open in Woodstock, wants the Downtown Development Authority to alter its boundary lines so they can be eligible for a state loan.
A request from a Cherokee County-based brewery to extend the downtown area's boundary lines will be heard by the Woodstock Downtown Development Authority's meeting on Thursday.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Chambers at City Center.
Reformation Brewery, which is eyeing the possibility of opening a brewery in Woodstock, is mulling the possiblity of moving into a location off Arnold Mill Road.

The parcel sits adjacent to the DDA's current boundary and the company would like for the DDA to amend its boundary to include the parcel in the district.
Kyle Bennett, assistant director of tourism and visitor center operations, said the change is needed so the company can be eligible to receive a Downtown Development Revolving Loan from the state Department of Community Affairs.

The loan, which is capped at $250,000, can be used by cities, counties and development authorities to revitalize their downtown areas "by providing below-market rate financing to fund capital projects in core historic downtown areas and adjacent historic neighborhoods," according to DCA's website.
The authority will also consider a facade application review from Hot Dog Heaven and a facade update for Freight Kitchen & Tap.
