Accomplishment: Trey has been named as a Chancellor’s Alumni Scholar by Louisiana State University. This prestigious award goes to the top 10 freshmen entering LSU. To be considered, a student must have a minimum ACT test score of 33, or combined SAT test score of 1440, with a high school grade point average of at least a 3.0. Trey scored an amazing 35 on his ACT exam (36 is the highest possible score) and finished Etowah High School with an honors-weighted grade point average of 4.2.
Chancellor’s Alumni Scholars receive $2,000 per year, tuition and fee exemption, an on-campus room and board scholarship, a one-time $2,000 study abroad stipend and the opportunity to earn up to an additional $1,550 per year by participating in the Chancellor’s Future Leaders in Research Program.

Key to Awesomeness: Trey has always been driven to succeed and demonstrates a thirst for knowledge. He has a natural scholastic ability and consistently performed well above his grade level throughout his school years. He thrives on challenges, sometimes to the consternation of his teachers as he challenged them in class! Trey excels at athletics as well as academics. A varsity football player, he earned second team All-State, All-Region, All-County and Academic All-County in addition to other awards throughout high school. And, he even found time for community service.
