Police: Expect Traffic Delays For Wing & Rock Fest

Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend the 9th annual Wing & Rock Fest on Saturday and Sunday in downtown Woodstock.

"Heavy traffic" is expected to hit downtown Woodstock as the 9th annual Wing & Rock Fest kicks off on Saturday.

The Woodstock Police Department said between 10,000 and 15,000 people are expected to attend the festival, which will be held May 31 from noon to 10 p.m. and June 1 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Park at City Center.

Uniformed officers will be posted to help with pedestrians crossing roadways. The agency does recommend motorists avoid this area and use alternate routes to get around the city.

As always, the department also urges drivers to use caution as pedestrians cross the roadway.
