Police: Man Exposes Himself to Child in Woodstock

Woodstock police are looking for a man who allegedly exposed himself last week to a child walking home in the Deer Run subdivision.

The Woodstock Police Department is trying to track down a man they believe exposed himself to a child last week in the Deer Run subdivision.

At around 9:10 p.m. Thursday, April 3, officers responded to the Moccasin Trail and Running Deer Parkway area inside the neighborhood.

Once there, officers with the agency met with a male child who told authorities that while he was walking home on Running Deer Parkway, a white man "appeared from the bushes" at the intersection of Moccasin and exposed himself to the child.

The juvenile called 911, and the man took off, the agency said in a news release.

Police established a perimeter while a Cherokee Sheriff’s Office K-9 searched the area for the suspect, which turned up no results.

The suspect is believed to be between 25 and 35 years old and possibly has shaggy brown hair. He was wearing a black tank top, blue jeans, and black shoes at the time of the incident, according to police.

A forensic artist with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation met with the victim in order to compose a sketch of the suspect.

The agency stresses the Deer Run incident "does not appear" to be related to the incident in which a man tried to abduct a child on March 26 in the Little River Crossing neighborhood.

Anyone with information on the Deer Run incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Woodstock Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit at 770-592-6030. Residents can remain anonymous on the phone call.
